Application Checklist
Required materials to be submitted with Registrations,
Programme Applications and/or Scholarship Applications

For all registrants, applicants & scholarship applicants:
Whenever possible, please submit your entire application, (with the exception of #3 & #4 below) by email.
If you are unable to submit your application by email, please contact the office for further instructions. The Registration & Accommodation Forms (#3 & #4 below) is included in the PDF file of the brochure that you can download from our website and complete.
Please note:
For the Baroque Vocal and Instrumental Programmes, selection of participants will be made on the basis of the written application, the audition recording and the presentation & overall quality (not quantity) of the application materials.
All Registration Applications must include the following:

a cover letter indicating the name of the Programme or Workshop in which you wish to participate, your instrument(s) or voice range & your interest in the Programme or Workshop.

a brief resume describing your educational background, awards and performing experience.

a completed Registration Form with a deposit of Cdn $100 (not to be charged until application results have been announced).

a completed Accommodation Form – if accommodation is required.
Applications for the Baroque Vocal & Instrumental Programmes must also include:
-
an MP3 file (or CD) of two pieces of contrasting repertoire, preferably early music (Please note: this requirement may be waived if you have attended the same Programme in previous years; however, if you are applying for a scholarship, you must include a recent recording).

a one-page description of your audition CD or MP3 including the titles of the selections, the names of other performers and the date of the recording.

(optional) up to a maximum of 2 letters of support from an educational and/or professional reference will be accepted.
All Scholarship Applications should also include the following:

a short letter describing your long-term goals in performance, your specific interest in this Programme, and the level at which you would rate yourself.

supporting material which could include up to 2 letters of support, publicity materials and reviews. Please choose your materials for quality (not quantity).
In the unlikely event of unforeseen schedule changes or cancellations, the Vancouver Early Music Programme will not be liable for expenses incurred by participants other than tuition and accommodation fees & deposits paid.

No previous experience is needed for either of these two workshops, and no additional materials are required with the application. However, we would advise you to register in advance, as space is limited.
